Lisa Kelly-Croswell, SR VP, Human Resources, Vertex

Ms. Kelly-Croswell has more than 17 years of experience in a wide range of global and domestic Human Resources leadership roles. She joined Vertex in July 2006.

Ms. Kelly-Croswell was most recently the VP of Human Resources at Nitromed, Inc. a biopharmaceutical firm in Lexington, MA. Previous to Nitromed, Ms. Kelly-Croswell was Senior Vice President of Healthcare and Service Operations at CIGNA where she led the human resources function supporting a 20,000-employee, $15B business unit. Ms. Kelly-Croswell spent a large portion of her career in other world-class human resource organizations including Monsanto Company and Frito-Lay, Inc.

While at Monsanto, Ms. Kelly-Croswell also held an expatriate assignment based in Singapore, leading HR for Southeast Asia where she had responsibility for integrated businesses in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. She also led HR strategy for manufacturing across Asia Pacific.

She received a B.S. in Finance and an M.A. In Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.


David Kimmelman, VP  of Talent Services, Vestmark


David has served in several Staffing and HR roles over the last 16 years as an HR practitioner, as well as in HR sales and service delivery roles. His experience ranges from high-tech headhunter to Vice President of Human Resources and his current role as Vice President of Talent Services for Vestmark, a financial services software company. Vestmark was recently recognized as the #1 fastest growing software company on Delloite’s New England Fast 50 list, and the #2 overall fastest growing company in New England on the same list.

David has dedicated himself to growing start-up companies for the past 11 years and has one (1) successful IPO under his belt where he was responsible for growing that company from 30 employees to 141 employees in eleven months.

 Over David’s sixteen year HR career, he has been a strong advocate and thought-leader for HR’s transformation as a strategic business partner in the workplace, and he is well known in the local area for his passion, energy and conviction for hiring, developing and retaining top talent.

 As a long-time active member of the Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA) with approximately 4,000 members, David has been a frequent speaker and panelist on the topic of Talent Management. He has also spent several years as a guest presenter at NEHRA’s annual college event coaching new graduates on proper interviewing techniques.


Tom Kennedy, Principal, The Kennedy Group


Tom Kennedy is an Associated Press award-winning broadcaster and teacher of strategic communication. He has over 20 years of on-air media experience and 10 years' strategic communications consulting experience with CEOs and senior executives of international companies such as IBM, Roche, Bosch, Hewlett-Packard, MIT, and Fleet. Tom specializes in helping his clients successfully develop and deliver focused, effective, and memorable messages, internally and externally, including the effective use of the Web, print, and broadcast media.

Prior to forming The Kennedy Group in 1992, Tom had top-rated on-air TV and radio experience, as well as program management experience, in five major markets across the US, including Boston, San Francisco, Detroit, Cincinnati, and Jacksonville. He thoroughly understands regional communications strategies within the United States and has a broad knowledge of worldwide strategic corporate communications and cross-cultural protocols.

Tom is a Certified Management Consultant by the Institute of Management Consultants and a regular speaker to IMC groups, a member and former board member of The Society of Professional Consultants, a professional member of the National Speakers Association and on the faculty of the Communications Studies Department at Emerson College with campuses in Boston, Brussels, and Los Angeles.
Gina Lucente-Cole, Learning and Performance Consultant


Ms. Lucente-Cole is an experienced consultant with a background in private and public sectors. She has experience defining performance requirements and creating solutions for work processes and skill development.

Ms. Lucente-Cole worked as a consultant and project manager in the Educational Services division at Sun Microsystems.

Additionally, she worked as a training and development consultant for another Massachusetts-based high-technology company and also as the assistant to the dean of Student Affairs at Babson College. Her areas of consulting and training expertise include:

Joyce O'Donnell Maroney,
SR Director of Solutions Marketing, Kronos


Joyce is the Senior Director of Solutions Marketing at Kronos, Inc., a leading provider of software and services for workforce management. She is responsible for marketing strategy and programs for Kronos services, customer programs and mid-market offerings. She also serves as Managing Director of the Kronos Workforce Institute. Prior to joining Kronos in 2006, Joyce served as a Vice President at BrassRing LLC for over 6 years. She was responsible for creating and leading a number of functional organizations including Account Management, Product Management, Product Support, Technical Services, Client Education, Consulting and Recruitment Outsourcing. Before joining BrassRing, she spent 7 years at Lotus Development Corporation/IBM in various sales and marketing management positions. Joyce has also held positions at Wang Laboratories, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Software AG, Control Data Corporation, W.R. Grace & Co., Town of Rockport, and Arthur D. Little, Inc. Joyce serves on the Board of Directors of Girls Inc. of Lynn and is a former Board member of the Children’s Trust Fund and the Association of Employment Professionals. She is a member of the Advisory and Finance Committee for the Town of Nahant.

Joyce holds an MBA in Finance from Boston University Graduate School of Management in Boston, MA and a BA in Biology from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT.
